Martin Bernard was born in Middlese, England. By the age of 20, Martin was receiving honors from the Irish chamber of Commerce for fishing Research. In 1970 ABU tackle manufacturer and friends, Peter Peck organized ABO Dream Trips Fishing African Rivers and Lakes and later fished the Assones. Dream Trips the Seychelles Islands in the Indian Ocean with four boats. Sadly a communist coo ended that.
Returning home Martin passed the Yacht Master Exam, he then became an English Member Biologist studying fish behaviors. Working with the Irish Institute of Marine Biology and wrote his first Book "Darkness on The Edge of Town", concerning the habits of fish.
After writing his book, he was soon employed as an Alaskan Guide consultant for an upscale lodge.
After much research Martin moved to Costa Rica and fished the Pacific Ocean. While in Costa Rica he spent many years looking for a great river system for him to fish.
He found it in the Alamo Lodge with over 6,000 square miles of frontier. One of the last true frontiers. A true adventure hunting huge tarpon and snook. Come hunting with us. A Safari of a Lifetime!
