Welcome to the Peace lodge. The ultimate awakening of your senses. Here every magical sight, wondrous smell and sensual touch create irreplaceable memories of a journey you wish to take again and again.
Each and every room boasts a Jacuzzi tub and stone fireplace along with showers that transform into waterfalls with the turn of a knob. From the handcrafted canopy beds and love seats to the original stained glass and illustrated artwork you will understand the time and care put into the details of each accommodation. To insure your enjoyment of the cool mountain weather and view of the Poás Volcano, we built oversized balconies complete with rocking chairs, hammocks and custom Jacuzzi tubs. The experience continues with your choice of aromatherapy products and our selection of fine quality linens and robes.
All guests are welcome to enjoy the park before it opens and after it closes, the optimal bird and wildlife viewing times. Private walking tours are available, but we suggest booking these at the same time you reserve your room.
Before the hotel’s reception is completed, guests will be checking in at the Waterfall Gardens welcome center. Our upstairs dining area will serve as your private dining room, unless room service is preferred.
We recommend a three-night stay for guests arriving directly from the airport. You will wake up in the rainforest to the sound of waterfalls rather than the city noise of San José. The drive from the airport is less than one hour and very scenic.
We offer four diverse day tours for guests of the Peace Lodge including Sarapiqui Canopy Adventure, Rafting on the Sarapiqui, Poás Volcano and Doka Estate Coffee Tour and our Arenal Tour to Tabacón Springs. |

Although it is named after a butterfly, it really should be called
our Honeymoon Suite. Since opening, we've had many honeymooners
enjoy our villa and we believe caused a few others to propose. The 1,200 square foot villa leaves
nothing to be desired. First there are not one, not two, but three
fireplaces to set the mood for this wonderland in the Cloud Forest.
The master bedroom alone invokes thoughts of romance with its king
size canopy bed set before a gas fireplace. The oversized master
bathroom, complete with full Jacuzzi tub, fireplace (yes, fireplace)
and waterfall shower will make you wonder why you aren't staying
longer. The villa is complete with a luxurious living room with
a two-story fireplace and a second floor loft with a queen size
bed, a single bed and full bathroom. If that isn't enough there
is a kitchenette and dining area with refrigerator, coffee maker
and microwave oven. But, the villa would not be complete without
a view of the La Paz River Valley and the Poás Volcano and
how best to enjoy them but from the Jacuzzi tub on the balcony.
But don't worry, when you've had enough 'nature' for the day, the
villa is well equipped with a stereo system with speakers in every
room and satellite TV in both the living area and master bedroom. |
