Depart the offices of the ARCR at 6:15am heading for Africa Mia, the Costa Rica rendition of the Serengeti in Africa where some 200+ animals (not counting the native animals) are to be seen on the on the African Safari Wildlife Tour including reticulated giraffes, the incredible Giant Eland, endangered species bongos, mask faced oryx, warthogs, zebras, ostriches, antelopes, deer, watusi african cattle and camels. The bus will stop both going and coming for a coffee break (not included). After your Safari Wildlife Tour you will enjoy lunch before returning to San Jose. Included: Roundtrip transportation, entrance fee to Africa Mia, and lunch.

At Africa Mia only 8 persons per safari vehicle; with16 persons we will tour In 2 safari vehicles of 8 persons at the same time. However, if we have more than 16 persons we will be divided into 2 group with the second group touring 30 minutes later.

The Calypso Isla Tortuga Tour departs from most San Jose hotels (different departure times for different hotels) and will take you to Puntarenas where you will board the Manta Rey Catamaran for your trip to Isla Tortuga for a day of swimming, snorkeling and a great lunch served on the beach. The tour includes: Roundtrip transportation, a Costa Rican Typical Breakfast, Soft Drinks, Live music, a BBQ lunch served on the beach with chilled White Wine, and a multilingual guide.

The Titoku Hotsprings Tour will depart from the ARCR at 6:30am and will travel to the foot of the Arenal Volcano where you will enjoy the new Titoku Hotsprings where the water is heated by the Arenal Volcano. You will enjoy the hotsprings until about 2:00pm when you will goes to the 5***** Hotel Kioro for lunch after which you will return to San Jose.

Included: roundtrip transportation, entrance fee, and lunch.

Combo Tour ~ La Paz Waterfall Gardens, Poás Volcano, Doka Coffee Plantation Tour - This tour departs from the ARCR offices at 6:20am and is a complete package that allows you to see the true essence of Costa Rica. Our first stop is breakfast at the Doka Coffee Plantation where you will enjoy an authentic Costa Rican style breakfast. Then you will see a third-generation coffee plantation and show you how coffee is picked, milled, ground, and roasted. Once you've found out first hand, or cup, why Costa Rica is known for its coffee, it's off to the Poás Volcano. This crater volcano is one of the four active volcanoes in Costa Rica.

The crystal blue sulfur pools will amaze you along with the steam rising from the various volcanic vents and for a walk through a cloud forest. Finally we will go to the La Paz Waterfall Gardens where your personal tour guide will take you through the butterfly observatory, the hummingbird garden and the waterfall trails. After your hike you will enjoy our Costa Rican buffet lunch.

Volcano Irazu, Orosi Valley, Solo Roses and the Lankester Gardens Tour. You will be picked up at 6:45am and head out to Solo Roses on of the most beautiful rose gardens developed by one of the countries top commercial rose producers; after that you will ascend the breathtaking summit of the Irazu Volcano for a view of the massive crater. On a clear day you can actually see the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans!

After an exciting tour of the volcano you will descend to the Orosi Valley with its unique beauty and the Reventazon River. Thereafter, visit the Lankester Gardens that is home to some 800 varieties of exotic orchids and various tropical flowers and plants. Following lunch we will visit one of the oldest colonial churches before returning to San Jose.

Hacienda Sueno Azul one day tour with possible extensions! We will depart the ARCR at (time to be announced) and drive about one and one half hours through the Braulio Carillo National Park to the Haciend Sueno Azul for a day of activities in the rainforest. There will be horseback riding, canopy tour, swimming in their natural swimming pool and relaxing on their gentle waterfalls and enjoying a wonderful outdoor lunch.

Then for those that wish (minimums will apply) you may stay over for the evening Rodeo and Dinner OR spend the night at the Hacienda Sueno Azul Hotel. Please make reservtations for whatever parts of the day and evening you want to enjoy! The one day tour includes: Roundtrip transporation, guide, horseback ride, canopy tour, swimming and lunch. There are separate additional costs listed below for the the evening Rodeo and dinner and for the overnight stay with breakfast included.
